iv been doing some testing and reading on the new microsoft "windows 8" thats to be released. it seems stable enough with the few things to be corrected here and there. buttttt word is it does have support for ARM processors, considering were on a dual core v7 im wondering if it would probably be worth anyones time to take a look at what COULD be done about making it into a phone OS for us. i can't offer much as im not too great with coding for android plus college. but im willing to test even tho its a beta OS anyways, i mean having the beta ported would pave a big path for the final build to be ported also :o!

like i said just a thought ^^

Apparently you can do it on the HTC Shift: Guide – Installing Windows 8 On The HTC Shift | xda-developers

Only problem I see is that Android devices are set up around the linux filesystem. I don't know if you could change the file format of the internal ROM to install Win8.

well its essentially like a computer in a way, that is that the storage of the ROM is all in one partition. i think, it would be like having 2 HDD one for the ROM and one for actual storage then removable media being the micro SD. idk but i do think your right, the filesystem would more than likely have to be rewritten abit. O_O
