Root [CDMA] su binary is outdated

Newbie
I finally figured out how to get my wifi hotspot working again but now when I use it, I get su binary outdated!? What do I need to do? The su is 2.3.6.3. HELP!!
 
Are you on the stock rom or a custom rom? If it's a custom rom I suggest asking the developer. If it's the stock rom I'm not sure what to tell you. I use a custom rom (SteelRom) and I haven't had any issues with wifi tether.
 
If the tether feature is important to you I would suggest trying out CleanRom. The developer is Scrosler and he has a few threads in this forum with his Rom details. He has a Sense version that is very close to stock and I'm sure you won't have issues tethering through either Sprint's Hotspot or the google Tether app.

I flashed CleanROM_2.7 yesterday and I can confirm that the Sprint hotspot hack works perfectly. If you like Sense but want to get rid of bloat this is the rom to use.
