Root [CDMA] wifi tether issues "connects to phone but no internet connection"

Hope you guys read this before you post. I rooted my phone a while ago using the htc method I do believe. I know I had to have htc email me and all that. I installed wifi tether and it worked fine till last week. Last week I started getting kicked off after 5 minutes. I installed the newest version of wifi tether and it didn't kick me off for a day, then the next day I was getting kicked off after the phone display turned off ( it never did this before) now I can't get internet at all. When I enable wifi tether I can connect to the phone but I get limited to no connectivity on my computer ( no internet ) Any idea if Sprint blocked this or something?

"I changed my settings so my screen didn't time out" it worked fine for another day or 2 now I can't get it to work at all. yes, I've tried checking mss clamping and routing fix
 
Did you set the Device profile to Evo 3D? Are MSS Clamping and Routing fix in settings checked?

The mobile hotspot had worked fine for months before last weeks issues without any settings being changed. But yes, I tried the mss clamping, routing fix and changed the device profile to evo3d. I did a search and couldn't find any other answers besides trying these 3 things. That's the reason I created the thread.


The phone has been asking for a few months to update as well, I wouldn't update it because I was afraid something like this would happen. I have a feeling it hit the touchscreen and updated when I put it in my pocket.
 
Are you aware of the version number you had before the update? I have the 3.1-pre108 version that is built into this ROM. It's in the ZR3D 1.7 ROM.

But that'll be my next suggestion. Have you tried a new ROM?

No, i'm not really sure how to change the roms...

I'll google it, thanks...
 
Just wanted to update everyone, A factory reset on my phone got this working... I don't know what the issue was.

Now to redownload everything.
