Help Cell Service Stuck on 1x?

Has anyone else been having trouble with their phone switching from 3G to 1x when the cell signal is weak, but then never switching back to 3G? I think it may be the .1111 radio that I flashed, but I am not sure. I need to either activate Airplane Mode, or I need to switch from CDMA mode to Global mode, and then back. I am keeping it in Glabal mode now, to see if the problem still exists.
 
Yeah, I'll try that again. I haven't done it in a while, but I have done it a few times with this radio. I don't understand why this needs to be done more than once.
 
I do a battery pull before *228. I'm running the 1111 radio and rarely have that problem. MikRunny did it a lot so I'm on Andybonestock.

Yeah, I'm on BoneStock, too. Just to clarify, you pull the battery while the phone is on, turn the phone back on, and then do the *228, option 1 & 2? I find it strange that the battery pull makes a difference, but I never tried it like you. So I can't say. Does anyone know the cause of this?
 
Just *228 then option 2. I do this once a month. As Verizon makes changes to their system it can effect phone reception.

Yes, pull the battery with the phone powered on.

Just option 2.
 
Okay, thanks. I'm gonna switch back. Rarely is my service super weak in my area, so it may take time to see if there is a fix.
