So, I am trying to move over from OV. I received the phone last night. It's a blue screen version with software 39 made in 9/11.
The screen is blue. GPS takes about 20 seconds first time but otherwise it's locking up to more satellites and gets a better resolution. The screen touch response is off and on.
All this, I can live with. The main problem I am having is the signal drop out.
I've have been watching the cell signal level using Network Signal Info app. The signal level in general about 4 to 8 dbm lower than my current OV. It fluctuates from 11 to 2 dbm lower. Then from time to time (maybe once every 2-3 min) the signal level drops below -108 dbm and connection is lost. It lasts anywhere from 2 to 7 seconds and then the signal slowly comes back.
This is with the stock rom. Does either CM7 or MIUI help with improving the signal level? If not, I will have to send it back to get another unit to try.
