Cellphone bricked and cannot get to OS!

pcnuttie

Newbie
Ok i had this cellphone rooted for a long time and i never had problems. November is getting close and i gotta exchange my cellphone to a new one soon. So i decided to start new all over again. What i used to root my phone in the past was SuperClick root program and it worked great, been using Cyan mods 7.3 versions and ClockworkMod Recovery v2.5.0.1 and today i reformatted everything but apparently due to my stupidity i forgot to uninstall the Cyan mod and ClockMod recovery first before wiping the whole data. My SD card is completely wiped i think or maybe something is causing my cellphone not to go past the M logo. However i can get into the Bootloader and it still shows Clockwork mod and i'm a little confused why it's still showing that? Isn't my SD wiped or is the Clockwork Mod built into my droid?

I decided to see if i can look into my SD, so i loaded in the ScanDisk card reader that came with the droid and it's showing Disk 1 as a drive and no MEDIA is on it at all?! It's like GONE? (Master Boot Record) I even went in Command Prompt to see if i can format it or something and it says it contains no volume. I'm just stuck right now and i cannot unbrick my droid and go back to stock droid. I don't wanna have to return it tomorrow and tell them i "rooted" my cellphone and now i need to buy a new one cuz i learned my lesson, i bricked it because i'm a idiot." Can anyone help me? How to fix this contraption? Isn't there a software out there that can like read it and fix it? I cannot even go into the OS at all. Just hangs at M and the only way to get in is bootloader menu of ClockMod but it sees NOTHING in my SD card cuz it's empty. That could be one way to fix it but how can i if my Windows is showing No media on that drive?

I'm going nuts and i wanna get this fixed because i have important contacts i talk to daily on my cellphone. Now i had to resort to Facebook and let them know my cell is down at the moment. ADVICE and SAVE ME from the CULPRITS of DROIDS! Jedis help!

And this is the Cyan mod i downloaded,Currenting using 7.3 but i cannot even get in anymore anyways due to my stupidity of reformatting everything before uninstalling a rom program.

ClockworkMod Recovery2.5.01 something. Lazy to look it up but yea i'm sure you all know what the recent version is anyways.:o

I think i should have uninstalled the ClockWorkmod and Cyan FIRST before reformatting everything. I obviously made a mistake here!

Hope all this information helps before i have to go to Verizon and tell them the truth what i did to my cellphone. My cousin and aunt both of them have a family plan with me. I haven't told my cousin what i did exactly to my cell and she said they could probably give me a loaner then i had to tell her the truth on the email stating why exactly my cell isn't working cuz we all know rooting does void my warranty.

If anyone can figure how to fix this contraption without having to use the USB Stick cuz it seems not to be working right on my Desktop. It does show Disk 1 but media is zero and i think either the Micro SD Usb stick is broke or the SD is completely WIPED out? Still doesn't explain why i see ClockWork Mod Recovery showing when i boot into the console recovery? Where did that come from? The cell or the SD itself? I am in desperate call for help! Learned the lesson the hard way. Guess i am not rooting my cell ever again!

That is all i know so far i am using. Help please.

Follow this guide from this thread http://androidforums.com/droid-all-things-root/136508-guide-all-things-root-related.html and flash an SBF file.

power off your phone and hold the camera button, volume down, and power all at the same time. that will get you to the bootloader screen then run RSD Lite

*I just want everyone to know that I didn't write this guide, just the first paragraph. You can thank ikithme for the guide.

Now that a .sbf file has been released for our Droid's we can always recover them using RSD Lite. it is pretty easy to use this. Of course if you physically break your phone it won't help, but if you screw anything up software wise you are covered.

If you unplug your phone while doing this it will break it beyond repair, Verizon will not be able to fix it. DO NOT ATTEMPT THIS UNLESS YOU ABSOLUTELY NEED TO USE IT!

Here is a guide.
Requirements
A. A stock sbf file
2.0 VZW_A855_ESD20_QSC6085BP_C_01.3B.01P_SW_UPDATE.sbf
2.0.1 VZW_A855_ESD56_QSC6085BP_C_01.3E.01P_SW_UPDATE_03. sbf
2.1VZW_A855_ESE81_QSC6085BP_C_01.3E.03P_SW_UPDATE_02. sbf
2.2 (FRG01BVZW_A855_FRG01B_QSC6085BP_C_01.43.01P_SW_UPDATE.sb f
2.2 (FRG22D) VZW_A855_FRG22D_QSC6085BP_C_01.4..sbf

B. http://androidoverdrive.com/downloads/RSDLite4.6.7z (RSDLite 4.6)

C. Current Motorola Drivers

Make sure you download the correct drivers for your system either 32bit or 64bit

Instructions:
1. Download all of the files above including the 32-bit OR 64-bit Motorola USB Drivers.
2. Install RSDLite AND the 32-bit or 64-bit Motorola USB Drivers (Depends on your system most will need 32-bit some will need 64-bit)
3. Connect your phone to USB and turn it off then turn it back on, while your phone is booting hold up on the DPAD. (Some users have said it is easier to hold the volume down button and camera button instead.)
4. Run RSD Lite 4.6 as Administrator (For all you Vista and 7 folks out there. If you are using XP you may not need to run as Administrator)
5. Click the ... next to the filename box and browse to where you saved the .sbf file and double click the .sbf file.
6. Hit start and below it should give you completion progress and all of that.
7. Once your phone is done being flashed (It may take a while so don't unplug it) it will reboot and you will be back at stock no root.
8. Done

Motorola for the awesome phone, usb drivers and RSDLite.

It's not doing anything. I have my cell booted and i followed instructions and i uploaded the sbf file into the RSDLite and then i click start and nothing is happening! Am i missing something here or what?

Well that doesn't help. I had to google it and download the lost broken links we couldn't get. But right now nothing is really working. I followed instructions and i press start and NOTHING happens. NO progress. I'm stumped!

Did you guys read my thread properly? I'm in ClockworkMod Recovery bootloader that's all i can get in and nothing else. I cannot get RSDLite to friggin start the sbf file? I followed instructions per letter and it's just not starting?

Is there a way around this or command prompt perhaps? I'm just baffled. I might have to use a loaner cellphone from Verizon until November 20th then upgrade. UGH! But i know i can get this cellphone fixed somehow!

Seems to be working but i have to wait right now cuz my battery is so low it's causing my rsdlite to not finish it and i'm getting FAIL errors on the end. I booted the bootloader and it shows code corrupt. Maybe i have to do it again then reboot? I'll wait til my battery is charged then try again. I manged to get the bootloader to work and the program seems to be flashing it. Am i suppose to flash EVERY SBF file to get this working? Let me know asap thanks!:D

Just one SBF file is needed. if you have the latest 2.2 SBF, that should get you where you need to be. if it is a stock SBF (which it should be) and not the latest, when you get the phone working it should download the latest update OTA.

Ok i just finally unbricked it.went through my cellphone and booted into my bootloader and finally saw the Triangle and ! mark. Now what do i need to do next? How to do i get back into the OS? Do i just reboot regularly and wait and see? Btw the reason i had problems flashing the sbf file was due to battery low charge so i had to find a old usb cable and split the cables like i found in another thread to fix the battery low charge then i plugged it in and oh my god it worked. I swear to god i was thinking of McGyver :D Anyways what do i next now that i am in the ! triangle area. Maybe i need to flash it again since i didn't flash to the final version? Like you said?

Edit: Turns out i was using a older Update of the droid so i had to use the newest recent one!
