Help certain chargers not working with GN

has anyone noticed certain chargers not working with their GN? My verizon car chargers works fine, the charger it came with works fine, the Y cable charger with the extra battery dock works fine, yet a standard mini usb LG charger doesnt work, but works fine on a droid 2 etc...

all the chargers i have work ok, that is 3 htc chargers, the charger for my 4g mifi, and a moto charger. they all work but none are as fast as the one it came it with, i mean wow it will take it from 50% to 100% in less than an hour. that is DAMN impressive.

My micro-usb charger (that I used on my LG Env3) doesnt charge my Nexus either. They are super cheap online, so I just ordered two more (one for work, and one for backup)

Check the charger output. (I have to use a magnifying glass)

GNex charger is 5.0v and 1.0a. If you match up to that it should work.

Many older chargers are .5a, 500ma (same as usb) or even less, like .35a (350ma).

I have been buying after market usb outlet chargers for years. Both for AC and for the 12v outlet in the vehicles. I never buy less than 1a output. All of those have worked with the GNEx so far.

After trying out various LG, HTC, Sony ericsson AC adapters. I found out it is not the charger, but the USB cable that doesn't work.

For example, I can use the micro usb cable that came with Galaxy nexus and plug it into any LG, HTC, Sony charger and it works.
Using a LG micro usb cable and put it in the Galaxy nexus charger does not work.

So it's the usb cable and not the charger, not sure what type of usb cable to buy. Let me know what you guys think.
