Certificate Required

Hi,

I'm facing a problem, connecting my phone (Sony Ericson X10) over Android 2.1, to the company wirless network.
The connection requires a certificate to be installed on the phone of type ".Cer", while adroid can't recognize such type .
I tried to rename the certificate, but it doesnt work...
Anyone knows the way to connect or if there is any application might do this?
Plzzz help...

Thanks in advance folks :)

Welcome to the Android Forums!

The Android OS does not recognize .cer certificate files. In order to install it on the phone you'd need to convert the file into a format that it understands, namely .pfx. This potentially is problematic because to convert the file you'll need to re-enter the certificates private key to complete the process. Have you discussed this with your companies I.T. department? They might be able to generate the .pfx file for you.

Here's a possible list of steps to convert a .cer file to .pfx using Windows...
