Ces 2014

The only thing I wondered about that - what happens if you get a call? Can you just pull the phone out?

You could, but the tablet extention came with a bluetooth stylus the had a speaker and microphone for receiving calls in the past. Not sure with this new one though.

The only thing that got my interest was Asus. That Padfone X looks awesome. Too bad its only on at&t. I like the prices of the ZenFone series. My GF has no excuses this year. There's some decent phones at good prices about to come out. As for me, I'm waiting to see what moto does this year.

It's an AT&T exclusive, but if sim unlocked you should be able to use it on T-Mobile and have full use of their lte network since every modern AT&T smartphone supports band 4. That's what I'm planning to do. That's the beauty of gsm:D

How good is Asus with their updates?

It's tough to tell because they've only ever sold tablets or factory unlocked phones. On tablets, they were excellent, often being the first to bring new android versions to non-nexus devices. Although, they've never had to deal with carrier intervention. They also lock their bootloaders on every device, but have always provided an unlock tool for all of them available for download on their website. It remains to be seen how AT&T will handle it.

That's good! I respect a company that pushes the updates.

CES 2014 has so much wearabile electronics. Smartwatches and fitness bands are released by so many companies. Not sure if its going to sell that well, because not everyone is ready to sign to wear Casio geek watches, besides some of us prefer not to wear watches at all.

I liked hybrid Tablets windows/android. New Steam console looks interesting as well. Rift VR helmet is very attractive too.

Hoping to get a 4K tv this year.

I don't think 3D is dead. I think it would be better and more popular if all 3D was HFR 3D, the difference is night and day between the two. Still waiting for glasses free 3D, read good things about it.
