Root Chainfire 3D

Would flash this right now if I knew I could recover from a boot loop ... Would a wipe be sufficient enough or would a ROM reflash be needed?

Flashed this just now and rebooted - no issues

Changed Open GL Setting to reduce texture quality and reduce texture size in an attempt to get GTA working better - it's still slow, but there was some mild improvement.

Will keep playing around ... maybe free up some mem and kill some of my running launcher/widget items to see what can be done.

Running 2.3.4 btw ...

Thanks for taking the risk and it does play way better. there is some plugins at their thread in xda imma try and look for it.

im scared to try this, the option that requires my phone to reboot has me shaky, what if it doesnt wake up :0....

Last night running 2.3.6 I flashed Chainfire 3D using the reboot method, and my phone is still alive. I tooled wuth the options to lower some graphics and running XDA's DATA package for GTA3, the game has a little less lag. Our remaining options lie within overclock and hex editting I think. I have a topic "Grand Theft Auto III' in Admire main if you'd like to join me.

Any one tried on 2.3.4?
