Change battery capacity in Android

Well the Note 4 is considered by may to be the last developer friendly phone.
I'm not trying to prove I've do this kernel port because I have. I've be rooted user for years.

ok,

First,

Im not a developer. I port and mod my Note 4 (n910p). I've learned much from reading threw XDA and many other sites. Add to that the Imperial method of experimentation and observation.

Second

If you dont know how to make a full backup (all partitions) and/or how to recover from a bootloop, then stick with what you got and take no risk.

Third

Im not responsible if you brick your device.
ok with that said. With my N4 theres a developer by the nale of
@freeza. I preferred Beast mod kernel r56 MM/overclocked/permissive but being on a higher version of MM causes bad data connectivity. 3G

@freeza also makes a hibrid N4 with r61 beast mod kernel with Zerolemmon support/ no overclock/ great data connectivity LTE.

Being that there is not much activity in the XDA Note 4 forums and few actually have the answer I was seeking. Not being able to downgrade my bootloader or modem because the latest update was a higher aboot partition (fused 5, binary 4). I came up with an idea to port the kernels. Sure I knew how to port roms but I couldn't even find a single tutorial on how to port custom kernels.
Anyway, I was uncertain but I was willing to take the risk. I decided to use the app in the link below

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=ru.zdevs.zarchiver

I downloaded both kernels and replaced the r61 boot.img with the r56(overclooked) boot.img. All folders and files of the r61 zeroleemon kernel but moded with r56 boot.img. I put it on the root of my external sd and flashed it.

Success, got my cake and ate it to.

Thanks. But for note 3??

I left Samsung. Went to LG.
Who knew Samsung had such good designers?
I'd have rocked the thickest one with no problems.

I had LG, Nokia, Motorola. But it's true that Samsung mobile it's more flexible for making something

I deleted the boot.img from the zero lemon kernel fuel gauge fix .zip

Before

Screenshot_2020-04-29-12-41-19.png

After deleting the boot.img (kernel), I changed the name of the .zip so as not to be confused with the original.

Screenshot_2020-04-29-12-44-51.png

In custom recovery, I flashed the n910t modified .zip to my n910p Note 4.

I believe theres a very good chance this will also work with a Note 3 snapdragon but I couldn't be certain. Good luck

Ok i understand. I need to change values in kernel next to make backup. And after flash this modified kernel no??? Do you know where is de capacity indicator battery?? In Kernel??

I did some searching and I find nothing of much help. Doesn't seem to be any kernels with ZL support for the N3.

This is for the Note 4 (n910t) and couldn't be flashed as is but it might work if you delete the boot.img within the .zip and flash it.

Just make a backup beforehand

But I don't have N4 I have N3

But I don't have N4 I have N3

Delete the boot.img (kernel) then flash the .zip .

Use an app called ZArchiver to open and delete the boot.img from the .zip . Make sure you make a backup (system) in custom recovery before you flash the modified .zip. If things go wrong go to custum recovery and wipe system and flash your backup.
The boot.img (kernel) is not compatible with your chipset. N4s have 4 cores will the N3 has 2 cores.
Good luck

I don't have an N5 but I've flashed and posted a few system apps on my N4. It's a risk being the the N5 is 64bit and the N4 is 32bit but luckily what I flashed was 32bit. My good frind Mr. @Xavier Black has successfully done the same. :)

Also the zip is for an Note 4 T mobile Lollipop and I have a Sprint Note 4 on MM but it still works for mine. Of course, I deleted the boot.ing before I flashed it

N3

Im well aware you have a Note 3. Im point was I have flashed and/or ported my Note 4 with other variants of the same model as well as from other Samsung models. Sometimes the work and sometimes they don't. Its s gamble.
My biggest concern is your running Lineage and it is somewhat modeled from ClockworkMod Rom (CWR) and I couldn't replace the kernel with another one successfully.
You should also be aware that the Bio Shock Tmoble TW LP stands for TouchWiz Lollipop. However I can confirm it works for N4 MM custom stock rom.

And you say that it's impossible for any time from Lineageos???

I have other rom from Rom Infinity Special Edition Android 6. For note 3 with it would be possible ???

And it's necessary remplace the Boot or I flash with the Boot original??

And you say that it's impossible for any time from Lineageos???

No, Im not saying its impossible. It may indeed work. I can say, I rember how finicky the CWM kernel was to replace. My skillls and experience have vastly improved since then but I just couldn't give you a for sure. For the most part, if you have a backup of all partitions, you can always wipe and flash a backup if something goes wrong. Usually this is all it takes but not always. I csn say frim experience dm-verity (device mapper verification) and DRK (device root key) are two errors you never want to come across. I wish I never knew about them lol.
Now , do I rhink that will happen? No but its a risk

The Note 3 and the Note 4 =

The Snapdragon 805 is not a huge step up from the 800 chipset of the Note 3 (snapdragon) or the 801 of the S5. They use the same Krait-based architecture, and each is basically a turbocharged version of its predecessor. You get more power with the 805 (N4), but technically they’re fairly similar.

Screenshot_2020-05-19-20-58-42.png

Thats my Note 4, notice the ARMv71 ?
same designation as your Note 3

Note 3= 800 chipset , Ario 320 gpu

Note 4 =805 chipset , Ario 420 gpu

The BioShock mod kernel is for Note 4 T-Mobile. The boot.img (kernel) is definitely not compatible with a Note 3 at least not to my knowledge.

The Note 3’s Snapdragon 800 is a 2.3GHz processor, while the Note 4’s 805 a 2.7GHz one.

Mine is a permissive custom kernel, overclocked to 2.899GHz. The boot.img is for Sprint n919p. I moded Bestmod r56 with the Bestmodr61 with zero lemmon support. The r61 boot.img had no overclocking abilities but great network conectivity while the r56 kernel had overclocking but poor data conectivity. I took the boot.img from the r56 .zip and replaced it with the r61.zip. It worked and I have the best of both. Soeed and great data.

Now with your device, Im not as familiar with. Some kernels have a root package, busybox, int.d and other programs. You have Magisk and if you were to flash a kernel that had SupeSu included thats going to cause issues.
