Change contract length?

I'm not sure why I decided to do this but I got the Droid with the 2yr contract but now after realizing the 1yr price is only 70 more I would have rather done that. Anyone know if you can change that after the fact? Say pay the extra amount for the phone and shorten the contract?

might be able to call verizon CS and have them charge you $70 more for the phone on your bill and shorten your contract (not likely though). But that'd only if you got it at a Verizon store or online

Probably will need to go back to the store to do it.
