Help Change default Google account

Is there a way to do it without formatting the phone?

I tried to remove the old account and it said a reset was needed.

See if you can add the other google account you want, then remove the old one

on the eris, i realize it's different but what the heck

i went to settings>apps>mnage apps> and i clicked every app that had a google label and cleared data on each one.

then 1st time i logged into gmail app after that it asked for my login.

now you might want to try one at a time if you phone is fairly setup, my phone was brand new at the time and i didnt care.
