Got my verizon Stratosphere 5 days ago (returned a Mot D3 since it wouldn't sync my POP3 email correctly). So far, I'm happy with the Strat,.
Anyway, I set up my email outgoing account with the name of the user that I want to appear as the From on all outgoing emails. This is not a mail service provider that I log into, but actually a reforwarding service run by a national organization that I belong to.
In order to actually send mail, I had to enter the account of my mail service provider. The account name for that is the base email address with that provider, but not what I want going out on my real emails.
I've gone through the setup screens, but cannot find any place where I can enter the correct email address.
BTW, this DID work correctly on my Palm Pre, which I recently abandoned.
Summary.
What I need to appear on the FROM: and the REPLY-TO (and is set as the account name in the Strat): MyID@National.org
Account-name on my mail service provider: MyLogin@addr.com
What appears on my emails (but I do NOT want): MyLogin@addr.com
Any help, please?
Thanks,
JimR
