Help Change in location (from bottom to right side) for application/phone bar

I have had all kinds of problems since the HTC update. The most recent thing that happened this afternoon was the tray (that contains the App, phone and add app buttons) went from the bottom of the screen to the right side. Sprint tells me in order to fix this, I need a hard reboot. Does anyone know how to fix this w/o the reboot?
