Change input language?

Qoo

Newbie
Hi,

I just recently bought my first smartphone and still getting used to it. I searched the web for an answer to my problem, but couldn't find anything satisfying.
I have a Japanese Android phone and as input languages with auto-completion there are only Japanese and English available. I would like to be able to have a German keyboard with auto-complete dictionary as well.
Is this possible?
I found an app called MoreLocale, which is supposed to add more interface languages (not sure about input and dictionaries). I would like to be able to easily change the input language on the fly while typing a message without having to switch the whole interface language, as I am able to do on my PC for example.

Thank you! This seems to be exactly what I have been looking for. Just one question, as I currently can't download and test the apps: Will these keyboards completely replace the installed keyboards or just complement them? I'm asking because I need the Japanese keyboard a lot and the comments on the apps' websites indicate that the Japanese support isn't that great.

Complement them .You can have your default keyboard any time you want .Just a matter of changing it.
Usually long press gives you a Input method window and you can select from the normal and the new installed one.
Like below I have Samsung (default keyapad) and AnySoftKeyboard installed

Be sure to enable the keyboard in "Language and Keyboard "settings or else you wont see it in menu

That's perfect! Thanks so much for showing me that!:)

PS: I don't know if that is a know issue, but I never get email notifications on new replies, even though I have it set to "instant notification".

Does anyone know if it is possible on a Samsung S3 to change the input language (French and English for example) without at the same time changing the keyboard? the predictive text picks up on the language change, but since the keyboard has also changed it really throws me off.
