I don't know if this is the right area to ask this but I was hoping someone knew anything about it changing from boost prl to sprint if that would help get better signal and if anyone could give me a direction on how.... Thanks

Make sure Samsung Usb drivers are installed on your computer

Make sure your Phone is not USB debugging mode

On your Phone dial ##8778# or ##3424# (If you are on the new boost GC01 ROM)

Change the setting from AP to CP, then hit Home.

Connect your phone to your computer with the usb cable.

Your computer will automatically install the modem drivers for your phone, wait until you see the “device is ready for use”

Go to "QPST Configurations" in your QPST Software

Click on the “Ports” tab and “Add a new port”

Select the “COMXX – USB\QC Diagnostic” and click ok.if you see more than one its ok.As long as one of them says its an ACTIVE Phone. If you don’t see a port..(Make sure your usb drivers are installed correctly)

uncheck the box for "Show Serial and USB/QC Diagnostic ports only" and add all of the USB/Unknown ports. One of them should show an active phone.

As long as one shows that its an active phone then you can go ahead and click “Start Clients” on the top of the program and open Service programming.

On the new Phone Selection windows you should see one active phone select it and click ok.

Click “Read from the phone” and enter your 6-digit MSL code

Click on the “Roam” tab and click the “Browse…” button, here you will need to browse for the PRL file select it and open it.

Click “Write to Phone”

Your phone will reboot and you can close all the programs now.

Congratulations you all done!!

Don’t forget to change back the USB settings to AP on the ##8778# or ##3424# menu

Sprint and Boost are basicly the same networks and so on....There are a whole lot of different SPRINT PRLS out there...Some of them work really good for certain areas and some of them work really crappy or sometimes not at all for certain areas.

Just have to go down the list of PRLS and find out which one works best for you by flashing them.

The PRL Files Zip i have posted are probably not even half of all the sprint Prls out there..

Hope this helps you out....

P.S. Make sure you unzip the PrlFiles.zip or you wont be able to flash any of them

No they don't get better signal. Sprint accounts have more towers to choose from (thanks to roaming agreements), and having a corporate IP can get you better data speeds. Look up the tower locations in your area, if you are in a rural area with few towers, changing PRL won't help.

So if I do a corporate prl will it at least use more towers than if i left the boost prl? And will it roam to Verizon towers?

No you can't roam onto Verizon towers, Boost doesn't have that and even if you had one of their towers in your PRL your request for services from a Verizon tower would be denied. Sprint tracks customer data and voice use on other network towers. Even though a Sprint customer may have a no roaming charge for roaming, Sorint still has to pay the other carrier for the use. Sprint has canceled their own customers contracts for too much roaming, and I am quite sure if you were actually roaming on a Boost account, you account would get shut down.
