Root Change *RELOCKED* to *LOCKED*

Hello, I was wondering if there was a way to change my RELOCKED to LOCKED. Reason for this, is because I am having that restarting error, and have to exchange it at my local radioshack. I have tried everything I could think of. I locked the phone then RUU'd it. If someone could help me with this. I tried the unroot tut, but it just changed it to what it is now. Relocked. Many thanks to all that help.

If you look at the last few posts of the RUU flashing guide you can see a method that might work but hasn't been confirmed.

I took one back to Radio Shack (RS) that Hboot showed "RELOCKED". RS never looked past the general condition of the phone.

I don't think the employees in Radio shack would check if u have "locked" . They probably just turn on the phone and that's all..:)

99 out of 100 Rat Shack drones don't know how to get into the bootloader. I should know, worked there for 5 years when I was younger.

You're not supposed to be able to change back to locked. That's the point.

But, I don't own this phone so I'm not sure what the method out there is that may or may not work. Do give it a try.

From reading some info about other HTC phones, you may give this a shot. S-ON the phone if it isn't already. Then use the Juopunutbear method to S-OFF. Afterwards, you may or may not be back at "locked" state. It probably doesn't work since the purpose is to attain S-OFF, but I've read that it might work. If it works, you can easily S-ON again.

Either way, since you're just exchanging it at the retailer, don't even worry about it. Just don't unlock the bootloader using htcdev again. Don't need to with the new method and you can still S-OFF and put an eng hboot on
