Change settings in notification bar?

Day 1 with my new phone and I love it! Came from a Mytouch Slide on Tmo so this is a huge step up.

First question of the day: Is it possible to change which setting options display at the top of the notification area when you pull it down? Currently it shows wifi, bluetooth, gps, flight mode, and screen rotation. I'd like to be able to swap one of those out for silent mode.

If it's not possible to switch them is it possible to remove them (without rooting)? I'd probably add something like quick settings so wouldn't really want them to show in both spots.

Although I'm not sure how to answer your specific questions, regarding the silent mode option, I always just hold the lock button which gives you the option to toggle silent mode. seems like it's easier than using the notifications screen.

Check the different custom ROMs. I've found in the past (captivate) that the developers usually change that up depending on their preferences.
