Change the Lock Screen Clock?

Is there any way to change it rather than turn it on/off?

I would prefer it to just hang out in the black bar with the battery icon, like it does in the non-lock screens. Or a smaller clock I can move to a different area.

you can try go launcher/go locker. they are free and offer a different look and feel

Another recommendation for WidgetLocker. Been using it since shortly after getting my S3. Love all of the different options for customizing. Well worth the price of admission. There are theme threads on all of the major Android forums also.
