recently bought the htc salsa. is it possible to change tthe txt msg alert tone to a song i like? i can seem to find a way how.
it seems really stupid if you cant since even some basic phones can do that!
i really want to personalise my txt msg alert tone.
if its possible can someone tell me how :)

Go into the settings in the messaging app (menu settings) and you should find it there.

in then settings its just the presets of htc hub.
and i want my own song, not a bunch of random presets.

anyway i got it sorted using the sd card trick.

is it possible to distinguis the notification settings? like can i have 1 song for email, on e song for text, one song for facebook notifications etc?
or can u just have 1 song for all notifications collectively

If you go into the settings for each app you can configure the unique notification tone (i.e. set email notification tone through the email app, set SMS tone through the SMS app etc.). Most apps support this.
