I know the subject is vague but it bothers me that finding the right words are more challenging than ever. Honestly I think that there is a conspiracy amongst companies but this conspiracy is a little like the so called " deep state " ( I think ) because it seems to me that as it develops companies that are implementing it keep the detail very under cover.

So I'll just touch on the one that has me cringing any time I MUST call them....it doesn't matter which "BUTTON" that has changed ( because they tell you to listen to all of the choices because " because OUR OPTIONS HAVE changed ". Stop and meditate one that for a minute or more. How do we know that the message is the truth? Should we know exactly HOW the options have changed? And what about answering a question: " WHY TF have they changed " ( is this not a passive aggressive way of admitting that thy have made mistakes? )

I feel the pain with all " companies " " business " " ENTITIES " as they are known when filing for Corporate status. But the one that make me want to scream and I sometimes do scream is Verizon.

I'd like to ask if anyone has experienced similar things from this GIANT in the industry that at one point in time was raved about as being THE BEST> Now, not so much.

If you have experienced any of this will you put it in words if you can one what your experiences are and what you think is going on up there in Corporate Heaven of is it that one of the buttons that have changed is the heaven and hell button: maybe now HELL is UP THERE?

Just saying.

Thoughts including that I'm nuts. I can take it.

If we're talking about conspiracies, apparently the technology on today's phones was available in the 90's. If they released that phone then instead of releasing it in increments then they wouldn't have got 30 years of money out of us. Just the way the business worlds works I guess. Expect today's possibilities by 2050 lol

The best I can do is guess that you don't like changes in the operating system, but if this wasn't posted in an android forum I'd not even be sure about that. Otherwise it's just too vague to really attempt any sort of answer.

An example to illustrate what you are talking about would really help.

In a world of change, if we take the time to listen to every story I bet we will find many very interesting tidbits of interest.

I'm looking to replace a burner phone that I purchased on the AT&T network to test if AT&T worked better in my home than Verizon; it does even with the cheapo Alcatel smart phone that I paid $32.00 dollars for. Maybe I can find some answers here. Meanwhile I'll struggle to paint a better picture of what I'm TRYING to say. Thanks for you reply.

Hey Hadron, Thanks for your comment. I really want to give a clear example because I honestly think that it is important. I'm not sure how this process of getting so many people to buy into the Soylent Green that they feed us, but they do Now, especially for the young ones who may have no idea what Soylent Green is, I'm going to attempt to explain what my thread was attempting to say in part by using a few metaphors. But for the moment I want to do a little research to get the metaphors right.

From what I have experienced I pretty know that this will not be easy. That, in and of itself amazes me. People buy into a method then that method becomes all that they know so it is really hard to explain how things once worked.

Before I head off into research land let me leave you with this one example that I know is accurate to see if YOU can relate to it and or if anyone else can relate to it.

I went over to Verizon in Feb of 2014 or 2015. Maybe this will help: The Samsung Galaxy S 6 was about to be released and the sales person at the store asked me if I could wait a week or two otherwise the S5 was the most current Samsung available. I wanted the S 5 so I purchased and switched over at that time. This little piece of information that I will add now is important because it resulted in one of the incidents that triggered this post.

The salesman asked me if I had a phone number that I wanted to port over to Verizon. If I did I would get a $10.00 discount
in perpetuity. It's only $10.00 but you will see why this is important when I return with the rest of the story. <g>
