Help Changing dpi?

Would I brick or in any way mess up my phone if I changed the dpi to like 160 or even 150? I have it at 170 right now and was wondering if my phone would mess up at all if I lower it further.

Edit:
After a bit of trial and error I found out a bit:

  • Anything lower than 160 will break the gui for the phone.apk, make a simple power menu, and disable the recent app button
  • 160 dpi will recover the phone.apk gui but still leave the simple power menu (Extended Power Menu is a great substitute for the power menu) and disabled recent apps
  • 161 is the lowest dpi I can set to keep the phone.apk gui, keep the stock power menu, and keep the recent app button.

Using the Xposed Framework and App Settings combo you can change the dpi of applications individually. Thus fixing the phone.apk problem and extended power menu and still have the benefits of lower dpi.

Do not lower it, it might reduce the performance of your phone.

I've changed my dpi several times across two devices and never noticed any reduced performance.
