I recently moved to the Three network in the UK. I got a sim and soon afterwards ported my original number. I now find that my phone thinks that its number is the original one, which is obviously embedded somehow on the sim card. This shouldn't be a problem I hope as long as the sim works fine and my account is in credit.
However, I can see a situation, which however unlikely is possible, when my sim may be faulty and I can only make an emergency call from my phone. With no active sim the number transmitted will be the old number that was embedded in the card.
Is there any way of editing this number or should I ask Three for a new sim with the new number embedded in it?
Thanks.
