Root Changing firmwares??????

I have rooted debloated and tested many different roms on the old firmware with no problems.
Recently I purchased a new admire. It came stock with 2.3.6 Firmware on it. Or the lasted updated firmware.

My question is "Has anyone tried using odin to downgrade back to the old firmware on these Admire's? So that the phone can be easily rooted?

I have searched the forums for a way to root the new firmware and have found different results.

I would appreciate it if Anyone could guide me in the right direction as I have no been active on this forum for months..

After the 2.3.6 Firmware is rooted can any of the roms be flashed through CWM?

Easiest way. I did it. Takes less than 10 Mins to root 2.3.6 with this.

After I get root, can I only flash specific roms because of the newer firmware? If so do you have any recommendations?

Well there are backups of stock 2.3.4 that can be flashed through cwm or odin, but yeah with the 2.3.6 root method I feel it's much quicker than the one click method for .3.4.

Nah you can still flash whatever rom you want. It overwrites your current version for the version the rom is using so even though you're on 2.3.6 if you flash a rom like cyanogenmod that's on like 2.3.5 or something then you'll be on 2.3.5.
