Help Changing font type

I've d/loaded Fontchanger SP from the app store but it doesnt have a great amount to choose from.
So i found some other fonts but dont know where to store them?
It looks like i need to find the ".system" folder which is nowhere to be seen.
Tried checking and unchecking "show hidden files" in My Files but that doesnt work?
Also do the font files need to be .apk files, or can they also be .ttk files?
Any ideas i'm going slowly insane! lol
