Help Changing Homescreen "dock" apps

Hi guys,

Firstly I'm from Australia. I have a SG3 on the Vodafone network. Phone has been awesome (coming from an Apple world), simply love it, and the flexibility that comes with it.

I've had the phone neraly 6 weeks without an issue. On Saturday I applied an update via KIES (LH1). Since then I have been unable to change any of the apps located at the bottom of the home screen. I've since noticed that I can move an app around any home screen, a light-blue message appears telling me to click the "Edit" option from the left menu button.

All of these changes are since the update. 2 of my colleagues also have SG3's, one received the update, but no change and the other didn't get the update at all.

The phone is a GT-i9300T

Has anyone else experienced this? I've searched through the menu structure and can't see anywhere to change them.

I've reset the phone (within the menu) and used the Samsung code to perform a "Factory Format". I've also downloaded the firmware via KIES and re-initialised, nothing changes.

Thoughts?

TIA

Thanks for the reply.

I actually like the stock screen. I'm more trying to find out if this is just my phone, a change as a result of the update or if the setting to change it has been discovered elsewhere.

hi, i just recently upgraded to a gs3 to, from an iphone and im experiencing the same problem... have you found a solution for it?
also how did you get all your stuff of your iphone? did you use kies?

For me it doesn't seem to work... I have mates with the gs2, and they can do the drag and drop.
I 've only had the phone now for 2 days and did a software update over the air, could it have been the update, because I did read something about it.

I'm still having the same problem and I'm with Telstra, so I think it's got something to do with the Australian carriers and there software.
Try using touchwhiz apex/nova theme from the play store and apply the apex theme, I find it is very similar and let's you customise even more.
