Root changing keyboard after CTMod 3.68

Hello all, just recently rooted and installed CTMod 3.68 (thanks to Blood and everyone else who provided the TUTs) I am trying to install a wood themed keyboard as I am not too fond of the ICS that comes with the ROM. It says it installed and the icon is there but I can't figure out how to apply it or if I even can. Any advise?

Hi,

normally you would go to : SETTINGS/Language & Keyboard, then select YOUR keyboard. Then go to a text input field ( like you would type ) and long-press on the field, then you can select your keyboard !!

Hope this helps

Everything works the way you have it explained but the only keyboard that shows up is the ICS one. Maybe what I have isn't compatible? It's a wood themed go keyboard that the play store says is compatible but it doesn't show up.

Sorry, don't know if it is compatible or not what you're using.......... I only installed a "BIG Button" keyboard and it works as I described. But I went back to the ICS, since I normally do all my texting via voice-input.........

Maybe someone else knows about your "Wood-Keyboards" compatibility.... ;)

LOL no problem, guess I could just try another one and see if it works. Thank you for your replies, gonna leave this thread open for now in case there is something about the CTMod concerning this.

Nevermind, tried a different keyboard and it works so I guess it's just the app that doesn't work. Thank you again.

Figured also I need to install the actual Go keyboard then apply the theme I downloaded so that is that lol. Still pretty new to all this so maybe this will help the next person asking a similar question.

I have had problems like this going back to stock swype keyboard before. Sometimes you actually have to convert it to a system app then reboot in order to make it work. You may want to try that before you just say incompatible as I know the stock swype was compatible but gave me the same problem.

Haven't tried that yet but will as soon as I have time, thanks for the input. I do actually like the stock swipe keyboard.
