Help Changing model in prop file

Hi
I changed the model name in the build.prop file under system on my Minix but the model name change does not carry through to the front end under 'settings' 'about'.
If anyone could point me in the right direction please?

What did you use to edit it?
I've done it in the past (just for a laugh, changed it to iPhone 5 lol)
And I used ES File Explorer and ES Text Editor (included) to edit it.
(make sure you have a backup before messing with build.prop)
(did you reboot after changing it? I think that's required.
Also did you hit save after editing (not sure if that's required))

Yes, rebooted, saved, used Build Prop Editor. When I go back into device system prop file it has remained changed but does not make the change in the front end under 'About'. :-(
