Root Changing Notification Bar

Hey guys

Is there any possible way to change the notification icons without
rooting the phone?

I would like to change the battery, WiFi, ... icons.

Pretty sure you need to be rooted as you need to edit the framework-res.apk file. So you'd need to pull it from the system files then push it back again.

If you want to do things like that though, take the plunge and root. Lekky has a very straightforward guide you can follow.

I'm only a bit worried about rooting.
Whenever I attempt to do something like that I always seem to mess things up.

Even with a guide

But I'll give it a try.

1 more question before I do though.
