Changing password on a google account - help

I've searched previous posts and nothing has helped me with this problem. I changed my Google account password from my computer. Now, I need to change the password on my Samsung Infuse running 2.3 and my Samsung Galaxy tab, running 3.2.

However, there is no place for me to change the password. Other posts had said to force a sync and then it would prompt me for a password. However, when I try to manually sync, I just get a message that "Sync is currently experiencing problems. It will be back shortly." No prompt for the password. Other posts I read said not to remove the account and try to reinstall the account, because that will reset your phone back to factory settings.

Does anyone know how to change the password on the main account?

Thanks in advance,

I found the answer on a different forum. Trying to force a sync did not bring up the prompt to enter my password. However, powering down the devices, and then powering them back on brought up a warning triangle in the notification area. Touching that brought up a prompt to enter my password. That fixed the problem. Yeah!!!!

Glad you found the solution to your problem ... and for posting the info! I just changed my google password tonight as well ... but came up with the warning triangle right away.
