changing phones, this Sim card is already activated

summs

Lurker
So hubby got a new phone, and i was going to take his old one.. a Samsung Galaxy Note 3. (i have a Samsung Galaxy S5). I took the SIM card from my S5 and put it in the Note 3, and got the message "this SIM card has already been activated" and it's got all his info - hubby's phone #, not mine, but it was my SIM card. We are on the same plan, carrier is Verizon, Can i fix this?

Verizon is still a CDMA network and only uses the sim for LTE data. I think when you activate the account the sim somehow gets registered with the device and user. You'll have to contact Verizon to active your hubby's old phone on your account ... and you might need a new sim.
