Changing phones

I just got off the phone with VZW. I asked what my ETF would be and they said $270.00

I told them i was looking at a couple of new phones and he told me as long as i keep the phone LINE with the current plan, i can use any phone on the line and not have to pay ETF charges.

He said the ETF pertains to the LINE and not the PHONE ?????

So, for example, if i were to go to Ebay and purchase a new Thunderbolt, put it on my line and drop the DX from the line, i would not have to pay any ETF charges. Is that indeed correct?

Yes, that is correct. I switched phones 3 times in about a months time. Got a OG Droid at the end May last year, then a DInc in the middle of June, then the X on July 1...yes I got one early.

yes that is true they dont care how many diff time you put a diff Vzw phone on your account as long as you pay the bill they dont care you can buy 10 diff phone and switch them out as offen as you like they dont care
