Changing prl?

How do you change prl on this phone? I've never done it and need a detailed tutorial if possible. Ty

From what I remember you have to boot into a temporary ROM to update your PRL and then boot back into your rom
There is a video by qbking77 on YouTube on how to do that

That is spending quality time with CDMA workshop. There is a post in XDA about it. Be careful though, you can get your account canceled for being on towers you shouldn't be on.

I can't access the usb settings for some reason. I tried making it a custom shortcut instead of entering the code but it says "could not launch requested activity"... am i screwed?

All that code is running is PhoneUtil if you are using apex or nova launcher create a shortcut to it. With nova launcher, long press on an empty area of the home screen, then click on short cut, click on activities, and then scroll down to where that utility is and select that it will create a shortcut on your home screen to it. You just click that to bring it up. I'm just not sure which one brings up PhoneUtil. Google might help, I'll poke around my phone a bit.

FOUND IT. After tapping activities tap com.android.sprintmenu then tap PhoneUtil

Found it. ..but the program isn't recognizing my phone. .. so that being my next issue. .. any fix?

Have you restarted your computer? Reinstalled Samsung drivers? Tried a different computer with a fresh Kies install?

If ur talking about changing it to diagnostic mode the dialer code is ##3424# to set it to CP for CDMA workshop ect..

Glad you got it working. Now don't forget to not run the phones PRL update or you will get dumped back on the PRL you had before.
