Help Changing sd card to larger causes to crash

simenoid

Lurker
i want to switch the original 2gb sdcard to a larger 4gb microsd hc card.
Copied everything on the new card but it crashes after 15 secs or so and keeps rebooting.
Does it mean i have to format the new card or did the phone saved important files on sd?

Android 2.3.7

You have probably transferred the system files from the old SD card to the new one as this can cause this type of error. Back up the data again and then transfer only the files you need, do not transfer everything.

Thanks.
but do i have to uninstall all the apps that are stored mainly on the sd card ?

i did a format from the phone and it still shows the card as damaged.
