Help Changing the battery

Hello everyone, sorry for making a post I am sure already exists, but I couldn't find the exact answer I was looking for. Too many pro and cons.
This is my problem: I have an S3 and the battery worked perfectly for 2 years and now it starts to show signs of aging :), so i thought that it's time for a change, while looking for a new battery I kept seeing batteries that have 3000mAh or more (up to 8000mAh). But I am wondering ... getting a battery like this wont affect the phone in any way ?
I want to get the 3000mAh one, but first I want to be sure it isn't a stupid idea.
Thanks for taking your time to read this.

I don't see why it would affect the phone and how it works but a larger capacity battery will be physically larger so will require a new back cover to accommodate it. Most of them seem to come with the cover included.

I've found that with A type batteries the brand affects things - generic batteries claiming to have a high mAh rating don't last as long as lower rated batteries from known brands. I don't know if it's the same with phone batteries, perhaps someone else has experience with this.

I bought one of these for my S3- same size as stock

Lasts a fair bit longer. Depends how you use phone.
Sorry about link, but you can find it from ebay. Will look at my original reply again, see if I can get link to work.
Take a little longer to charge too. I carry the original one with me-fully charged- just in case.
