Changing the location of CWM backup folder?

Nagrom

Hi guys.

I want to make a backup so might try a new ROM. I won't have enough room on my internal memory, so is there're a way of changing the default backup folder to my external SD card?.

Thanks in advance.

Andy

On the latest version of CWM, v3.15, there is the option to save to internal or external SD card once you have created, or accepted, the name of the file names backup.

Tip: Always save your backups to your external SD card in case of problems you may encounter with flashing.

Actually I meant the Clockwork Recovery back up, but by the looks of it, it defaults to the external storage anyway.

Thanks for your quick response though Ironass.

Andy.

My bad... have amended my post. Just having a senior moment! ;)

External card is always the best location to store backups, be they CWM or Titanium. Also your photos, music, videos etc. If your phone goes kaput, then you can just put your card in your replacement handset and away you go.

Having said this, I always also keep a CWM backup on my internal SD card just in case my external card decides to go fubar.
