My OG Droid allowed me to change the default vocoder from EVRC to EVRC-B or 13K, which gave me better quality audio (both directions). I set it for 13K, and if the tower didn't support 13K, it would just fall back to EVRC-B or EVRC as necessary.
I'd like to do the same thing with my GN, but don't know if it's possible, or what the access codes are to program it. On the OG, typing ##7764726 (##program) would get you to the hidden menu, and after entering your SPC password (default=000000), you got to the menu where you could change the vocode rate and type.
Anyone know if it's possible to do this on the GN, and if so, how.
