Help Changing your SMS Tones

What's up guys? I know this has been covered a million times, but hear me out. I know I'm doing something wrong.

I'm using GO SMS so I can upload the sounds for the texts. However, the factory SMS sounds still kick in when I receive messages. I'm using the Eurotrip mail sound, but I get the USCC sound or whatever the stock sound is I have it set to, and it cuts most of the Eurotrip out.

Why is that?

I believe that you need to open the stock text message app, go in to settings, and set the notification ringtone to "silent." Then go in to the settings for GoSMS and set your notification ringtone.

Or disable your stock message app so it's not running.

Turn off notifications in the stock app.
