Help Charger issues

So, the charger that came with the phone broke within about a month, and O2 told me that wasn't their problem I would have to contact Samsung, I did, they said they'd send me a new one, new one never appeared. So basically for the last year I have been charging via the USB cable, which last week I must have left in the library, thus I ordered a new charger on Amazon. Charger came today, looks like a genuine Samsung product, identical to the original, charged phone, but when I try to use the phone while it's plugged in the touch screen is completely messed up, impossible to use. I have heard that new chargers can do this, does it imply the product is not genuine Samsung? Is there any way to fix this?

I've seen this happen a several times, on different phones when using a 3rd Party charger. If it was relatively cheap, then it's highly likely it's not an official Samsung charger.

Not much you can do I'm afraid.

Does it do the same if you charge it via USB on your PC using the same cable?

I'd hound Samsung for a replacement again tbh.
