Accessories Charger Question

CaseyKees

Android Enthusiast
I have the charger for my old Motorola Rival and it fits in my DI and says it's charging.

This may seem like a dumb question, but is it OK to use this charger? I can leave it at work, and leave the HTC charger/usb at home instead of carrying it back and forth.

I just am not sure that it is OK to use just because it fits. I don't want to ruin the battery somehow.

TIA

Ya, it should work fine. It probably won't charge as fast as the OEM one, though. The OEM one really cranks out the power.

I figured might not be as fast. But I don't use the phone so much at work so I really just want it as a backup. I don't like to leave it plugged in at night while I sleep!

I don't know...Moto's been known to push higher-than-standard current output on their mini-USB wall chargers (there's a key they usually look for in their phones to disable non-Moto chargers, in fact). So I wouldn't be so certain that this is safe.
