Help Chargers

I am looking for a car charger and or a micro usb cable that will charge the phone without the slow charging thing to pop up. I Use the charger and usb cable that came with the phone at home, so that is no big deal, but when using the GPS the charger that I have can not keep up. I have a bunch of micro usb cables and even tried to short out the wires to make it charge only and plugged it into my oem charger but I still got the slow charging notification. I currently use this for a car charger Amazon.com: New Trent (1PC) 15W 5V@3.1A Dual high-speed USB port car charger w/ Free Full Speed Micro-USB Charging Cable (NT88C/IMP88C): Cell Phones & Accessories

What does everyone use here?

I use my gps like 5 to 6 hours a day. I am driving around in Minneapolis/St. Paul all day long going to different customers and have no other way of getting around, hah. That eats up quite a bit of battery..not to mention I am using it for SiriusXM at the same time.

When i bought my G2's at verizon they gave me the bundle of 3 accessories screen protector, case, and a verizon car charger. With this charger it charges as fast as the wall charger the phone comes with, also no slow charge indicator pops up.

Now i have 2 VW car chargers, if i use the older one the slow charger pops up on screen. They look different from each other. If needed ill post a description of both.

I rarely use a car charger. When I'm on the road and need juice, I use my New Trent 9900mAh external battery to charge back up.

I think your generic charger would supply 500mA-750mA.

But some of these Verizon Car Chargers are rated at 2A.

They telegraph their ability to handle higher currents / fast charging in the way they short a few of the conductors on the microUSB connector.

It could also be the car charger itself in the car. I recently put some EL wires in my car back in the summer. One of the first places I tried to tap for power was the charger outlet. However, I noticed that my EL lights were very dim and not fully lighting up. I checked the voltage to the wiring for that charger plug and it was outputting 7 volts instead of 12 volts.
