Charging cable - which end is up?

Ok, this will probably rank as the most trivial tip of all time, but I put a dab of fingernail polish on the top (you get to decide what the top is) of the charging tip. That way, I don't have to strain my eyes trying to figure out which way to plug it in. I was thinking of patenting the idea, but Apple probably already has the patent (hope they don't sue me).

I took a needle and got it hot with a lighter and then melted just a small nick three times on the top. I don't have to look at all now, I can just feel the little bumps.

Wow, good ideas. I would have never thought of that. I have the same problem every night, Ill go to plug my phone in when its dark and fiddle with it until it goes in right.
