Charging extra battry out of the phone with a USB power port???

I have extra batteries for my Prevail. I am looking for a way to charge them when on the road.

I need to charge them outside the phone. I did find chargers that plug in to a ac wall socket to charge the phone.

But I need to do it though a USB power port so I can charge them when driving on the road. I did see this one on eBay.

I did buy it. In fact I bought it two times and every time they sent a different unit. Even though in an email exchange they said they would send the right item, and it will charge the battery and can be powered by a USB port.

Does not matter but this is what they sent:

So I can use a adapter to give me AC power though my car's lighter socket but not what I really want.

Anyone know how to charge a battery without the phone using a USB power port?

you can get electrical plugs that use the usb cable to charge. its hard do. do your best to use oem parts when possible the device they sent you is about the only way to charge out of phone.

keep an eye on the phones behavior for 3-4 charge cycles. all the way down and all the way up. rinse,lather,repeat.

Thank you for trying to help. But based on my issue, I completly do notunderstand your post. What kind of AC outlet plugs into a USB power port? Can you link to one?

I did a Google search for USB power to AC, and only found AC to USB adapters. The reveres of what I want... And I really do not even want that. I want a USB powered battery charger, that will charge the battery outside of the phone.

As for using a OEM part, I found nothing on Samsung's web site that would do this. What OEM part are you referencing?

I really need you to expand on your response because as you wrote it, it makes no sense and gives no information... at least two me....Please link to items are are talking about.

As for the part they sent me... It will not charge the battery from USB, only AC so it is not a way to charge the battery from USB. Sorry if I did not make that clear.
