CHARGING ISSUES HELP

So I have a Htc M9 and if I let the battery die completely and plug in the charger , let it charge for a bit and try to turn the phone on it will turn off and on a few times before fully starting. HELP please

What percentage does the phone reach when you try to turn it on?

Some phones require the battery to be at a certain level before you can power them on. Other times, the phone turns on, but the power used during the boot up depletes the battery again which causes it to shut off.

This happens more frequently if you're not charging the phone with the factory included charger (leading to slower charging). And if your device supports quick charge 2.0+ and you have a compatable charger, you can probably avoid this issue altogether.

Just a guess though... could be somethihng else.

Just want to add that it's generally not recommended to run your battery down to the point where your phone shuts off. It's not an issue if it happens every so often but if you're doing this on a daily basis or even several times each week this will drastically reduce the longevity of your battery's overall useful life. Better to charge it frequently even if it's not really low, the difference being a battery that fails within a year or two, or one that's four or five years old.

So if I charge the battery with a charge it charges fine, it's only when completely dead and i try to power on that it cycles on and off. Is that normal??
