Is anyone else having issues charging their note8? My pixel xl's chargers seem to be fine but even using the charger that came with the phone I get an improper connection notification. Sometimes just switching the cable around seems to help but not always. Its really annoying waking up and seeing it only charged maybe 5%

Not really a charging issue but when I plug my phone to charge after a little while my screen looks like this, but it goes away when you pick up the phone ar touch the screen, but then it comes back unless you restart your phone. Anyone else having this issue.

It appears as though you have your screensaver turned on. you can turn it off under the display settings.

Improper connection sometimes appears when the usb c is damp or wet. Any problems using wireless?
Verify your charging cable is not faulty by using another cable.
Blow out any debris in your USB port on the device.
Try a different charging source.

I have try 2 different cables, have not try wireless yet. I'll will also check my display settings.
If you have tried different cables , then change the source of the power.
If it behaves the same no matter what cable and power source you use, the phone may be indeed faulty at the port.

I disable the screen saver and that fix it for at least last night.
Have you tried a wireless charger? If that works, then it has to be the USB-C port in the phone...
wireless charger works and one of my cables from my pixel XL. Not the one that came with the device and not the 3rd party cord. I did get a notification about it being a wet charging port but there was literally nothing in the port. I "cleaned" it out and after about 4 hours the notification went away.
Oddly as I'm typing this I'm realizing there's only an issue with USB C to USB B cables instead of the C to C

Are you using a USB-C cable or a micro USB with the USB-C adapter? If you're using the micro USB with adapter, try using the USB-C cable.
I've only been using a USB c cable. As an electrical engineer I'm scared to use most adapters lol

In case anyone is wondering, I swapped chargers with my wife (she has a pixel XL) and the Samsung charger works great for her but not me. But her pixel charger works great for me. So whatever. Really wanted my experience coming back to the note line to be great and it hasn't been so far.
