Charging problem with Samsung Galaxy Ace

Hi Guys,

I bought my new Galaxy Ace last week and I have charged it more than 7 times since then. However the problem is, everytime i charge the mobile, it takes more than 3.5 hours to reach 100% (until I get a symbol on top left corner indicating 100% full).

Unlike some of the users, I am very concious on charging the mobile only when it reaches below 20% mark.

Is this a problem with every Galaxy Ace or Its time I take my mobile to a service center? Thanks in anticipation..

Only 7 times in a week? You're doing well there,I go through 2 full chargers a day.
3.5 hours seems a bit long to me though. Takes me normally to go from 15% to a full charge in about an hour and a half to two hours depending if I'm using while I'm charging.

Hi, after only one week it is too soon to think about returning the phone, or visiting a service centre!! There are many posts on this forum about battery life. Tips to prolong battery life between charges, calibrating/conditioning etc... but they all take time to be effective. Please give the Ace a chance to get used to your usage patterns & charging patterns. I've had mine since March & at first it was poor, now it can last 2-4 days depending on use. To charge from 10-15% to getting the full notification sound & the 100% icon takes approx 1.5-2 hours. I have said it before, be patient the Ace is a great handset if you give it a bit of time. yeah like graham said mine charged like yours for a day or too and i also thought i had a bad battery but it takes a few charges to ware-in the battery to full capacaity

also if you use a usb cable to charge it does take a little longer then a wall charger.
 
Same here, 3-3.5 hours from 0% (when the phone automatically shuts down) using wall charger.
I use to charge it once a week, with normal usage. Brightness at minimum, wifi, gps and bt only when needed...
