charging problem

i have galaxy s3 gtI9300. it has a charging problem if i am taking it on charge from his original data cable via any electric switch board then its take charge. but when i m taking on charge via any computer by his data cable then it shows like charging but not take charge. and same with this cable if take charge other galaxy s3 mobiles that are having charge. why its happening.

It will be charging from the pc but much slower. Usb ports on pcs give 0.5 amps max current. The s3 charger is 2 amps I believe. If you use it when charging from a computer it can still run the battery down as the phone when active uses more than it is receiving.
