Hi everyone,
So I have the Incredible 2, got it on Launch Day. It's been fine up until yesterday. The phone just stopped recognizing that it was plugged into the charger and when it does recognize that it is, it charges extremely slow. It doesn't matter if it is an AC charger or the USB charger. And then sometimes it stops recognizing that it's plugged in and will stop charging and I have to wiggle it a bit to get it to recognize it. I tried charging with two chargers, and it's done it with both. And when I was charging it, it still dropped battery levels. I did a battery pull and it went back to the level it was at when I inserted the battery back.
I spoke to Verizon last night, and they asked if the water had been around water or moisture. It has not. It only started yesterday. The person said it was probably the port. I checked the battery last night and it hasn't been exposed to water, since the little stickers still have the red box pattern and are not fully red/pink.
I'm attempting to charge it now, since it has dropped to red. It has told me the charger it is connected to is not strong enough to charge it, and to connect it to an AC adapter, even though it is connected to one. They are sending me a new phone, it will be here Monday. I'm lucky I have another phone to use in the meantime.
My question is is it actually the port or could it be the battery?
