Help charging Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 4G

I have recently purchased a Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 4g.

Can I use my 12vdc cigarette lighter charger unit that I use to charge my Samsung Galaxy S4 Active to charge the Tab?

You can try it. It won't do any harm so it'll either be powerful enough to charge it or not

I guess it should work as the AC supply power adapter for the Tab gives 5.3v at 2.00 amps, whereas the DC supply charger is rated at 5.0 volts 3.1 amps ....one for ipads & Tablets at 2.1 amps and one for smart phones at 1.0 amps.

However, I will not use the Tab power supply adapter to charge the S4 Active!

I am hoping that actual users will respond to ease any fears!!

I can tell you that it's the device that "decides" how much current (amperage) that it draws from an outlet so you won't realistically "overload" it but I understand your caution
